Narayan Seva Sansthan, a not-for-profit organisation, has launched the Divyang Sports Academy — an initiative dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, including the visually impaired, hearing-impaired, and those with physical challenges, through the transformative power of sport.
Through sports such as Blind Cricket, Para Swimming, Wheelchair Cricket, and Basketball, the academy promotes physical fitness, self-confidence, mental well-being, and social inclusion for underprivileged and differently-abled individuals. These programs are led by experienced coaches and trainers who work closely with participants to nurture their abilities and unlock their full athletic potential.
The Academy, based in Udaipur, India, is being developed to provide international-level training facilities and aims to prepare athletes for participation in Paralympic-level competitions. Plans are also underway to establish a National Para-Swimming Complex to further support this goal.
